Microblading Eyebrows in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

Overview

With brows becoming more and more of a focus in the beauty world, microblading has become one of the most popular cosmetic treatments available. This popularity is attributed to its ability to improve the definition and fullness of brows and reduce the time you need for your daily makeup routine.

microblading

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique that creates a realistic “hair-stroke” effect on the eyebrows. It involves using a fine blade to deposit pigments into the epidermis, but unlike traditional cosmetic tattooing, microblading is less invasive, and its results usually last 9-18 months, depending on skin type, skincare routine and follow-up sessions.

Am I a suitable candidate for microblading?

Microblading can help correct or reconstruct lost eyebrows and is considered a good option for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows from age, or over-tweezed brows. Our specialist will help you choose pigments that match your natural or desired brow color and make sure it suits your skin tone.

Microblading may be a good option if you want to:

· Reshape your brows

· Improve the outline of your brows

· Add density and length of your brows by adding color

· Replace brows lost to alopecia or chemotherapy

· Have a long-term improvement to the appearance of your eyebrows without the need for makeup

Consultation

During your consultation with our skin care specialist, they will examine your skin, run tests to check if you are allergic to pigment or anesthetic cream, and discuss your goals and desired brows shape so that they can tailor the treatment to suit your needs.

The Procedure

The skincare specialist will apply an anesthetic cream to reduce discomfort. The treatment involves scratching the surface of your skin to implant the pigment for a long-lasting effect.

Before the treatment start, our specialist will draw your brows with a pencil to ensure that you are happy with their shape. Once you are ready, the process of creating your new beautiful brows will begin by making tiny, hair-like strokes using a tool with thin needles and then inserting the pigment into the epidermis, giving you realistic-looking brows that don’t wash off.

Aftercare

Microblading is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that takes around two hours to complete, after which you can resume your usual activities, but avoid anything that might get your brows wet or sweaty for one week after your treatment.

Keep your brows protected while they are healing by applying a special ointment daily for a week after the procedure.

Avoid UV light exposure and chlorine (swimming pools) after the treatment and follow the aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing.

Follow-up (Top-up)

Microblading is a two-part treatment, and you need to come for your top-up appointment 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment.

During the top-up appointment, the specialist will assess the color and shape of your brows and make the needed touch-ups accordingly.

FAQ

Is microblading painful?

The procedure causes little to no pain, and we use an anesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort. Most patients describe the feeling of the procedure as slight scratches. You may have some redness and swelling in the treatment area, but this is normal and will resolve within few days after the treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The first microblading session takes around 2 hours. During this session, the specialist will shape your brows and insert the pigment color you chose. The second microblading session (top-op session) is done 4-6 weeks following the initial session and takes about 1 hour to complete.

How do I choose the brow shape?

Our specialist will help you choose the brow shape that suits your facial features.

Will my brows fade with time?

Yes, we use semi-permanent natural, plant-based pigments. As your eyebrows fade, they will look natural and soft. Since the specialist places the pigment in the epidermis layer of skin only, it will not bleed outside of the place where it was deposited and won’t cause blurry discolored brows.

How long does it take to heal?

Your eyebrows area will be slightly red after the procedure, and the color will appear very dark; This is normal and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40% as it heals. In the following days, your eyebrows will continue to be dark, and you will notice slight scabbing. DO NOT pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the treatment. Your eyebrows will lighten up in color as they heal. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal and about one month for the color to fully set in.

Is the top-up session necessary?

The top-up session is highly recommended as certain areas may not pick up the pigment during the first session and will need to be refilled. Moreover, the pigment color may need to be adjusted, and brow thickness can be improved. More than one top-up session might be necessary for people with very oily skin. Your top-up session will help refine your brows to ensure they look perfect and retain the color for the whole year!
