Hi Def Vaser restrictions Avoid Aspirin, Vitamin E, fish oil and most painkillers except Tylenol® for ten days before. The small incisions made during the procedure will not require stitches. Arrange for a friend or relative to take you home following treatment.

Liposuction is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia administered by a board-certified physician-anaesthesiologist. The initial step consists of infiltration of the tissues with local anaesthetic. This is known as the ‘tumescent’ technique and greatly enhances the efficiency of liposuction and reduces the amount of blood loss. The surgeon then uses cannulas (hollow tubes) of a variety of different configurations and diameters to carefully aspirate unwanted fat from various areas.
Typically, the amount of fat removed in a liposuction procedure is from 1,000 cc (one litre) all the way up to 5,000 cc (five litres). Patients are observed in the recovery area for an hour or two after the procedure and then are discharged to return to their homes. Pressure garments or binders are applied to the areas where liposuction has been performed, and it is recommended that these garments are worn most of the time for the first four to six weeks after the procedure.
